Long before Sunset Boulevard, the Old West had Norma Desperate of Lizard Gulch. When her acting career toppled, Norma became secluded. However, she plans a sensational comeback once her version of "Cinderella" is complete. For a living, Norma now owns and runs the Desperate Rooms Hotel. She takes in downhearted actors without a role in life (literally) to stay rent free. As a rental obligation, however, they must continuously clap and cry "Bravo!" The villainous Sly Vester convinces Norma he's a playwright with the genius to resuscitate her "Cinderella." Sly and his crafty comrade in crime, Delilah Desdemonda Dilly, have it made until another unscrupulous bandit, Billy the Goat, shows up and commands a cut of this corrupt operation. It's up to the new sheriff, Johnny Straightshooter, who is in love with Amy Sweet, the schoolmarm, to restore order. Filled with a dynamic variety of Francoeur songs, Norma triumphs, and so will your audience. (Also available as a non-musical.)
